Description
Lovely MS65 Red 1925-S Cent
1925-S 1C MS65 Red PCGS. In 1925 the San Francisco Mint was more concerned about quantity than quality in its output. As a result, Red Gem examples of the 1925-S cent are extremely difficult to locate. This Red Gem is housed in a green-label PCGS holder and is one of just 10 pieces so graded that PCGS has certified in more than 22 years. They have never graded a finer example (10/09).This piece has wonderful light orange surfaces with satiny luster. A few faint spots are visible, mostly limited to the reverse, but the eye appeal is strong. The strike is excellent for the issue.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22CH, PCGS# 2566, Greysheet# 1894)
