1850-C $2 1/2 MS61 NGC. Variety 1 with the mintmark nestled between the claw and feather. Two reverse die varieties exist despite a meager mintage of 9,148 pieces. The present yellow-gold Charlotte Mint example has noticeable luster, clean surfaces, and an absence of consequential abrasions. Census: 14 in 61, 3 finer (7/09).(Registry values: P2)
