Description

1867 Seated Liberty Dollar, PR64
625 Examples Struck

1867 $1 PR64 PCGS. OC-P1, R.3. Only 625 proof Seated Liberty dollars were struck in 1867 and the Osburn-Cushing website shows a single die variety for the issue. The hardy reverse die was used to strike proofs from 1866, when the motto was added, through 1870. This coin is an attractive Choice example with sharply detailed design elements and hazy, reflective fields. The lightly marked surfaces display shades of golden-tan and lavender-gray toning. Population: 64 in 64 (2 in 64+), 17 finer (2/17).(Registry values: N2998)
