Description
1873-S $5 AU50 NGC. A surprising amount of mint luster illuminates the borders and devices of this lightly circulated rare date half eagle. Relatively smooth for the grade and type, since no marks merit individual mention. All 31,000 pieces struck were apparently from the Closed 3 date logotype.
