Description

1901-S Half Dollar, MS62
Sole CAC Coin in This Grade

1901-S 50C MS62 PCGS. CAC. Unlike many lower-end Mint State Barber halves, this 1901-S coin has not been cleaned or dipped. The satiny luster is original yielding iridescent toning and grade-appropriate abrasions. The strike is also sharper than usual for the type. All of these attributes contribute to the CAC endorsement. Uncirculated 1901-S Barber halves are scarce in all grades, and this is the only piece in MS62 with CAC approval. Population: 7 in 62, 33 finer. CAC: 1 in 62, 5 finer (8/20).
