Intermediate State 1804 C-6 Half Cent

1804 1/2 C Spiked Chin. C-6, B-6, R.2. Die State 8--Improperly Cleaned--NCS. AU Details. VF30 EAC. Braig State 5.5+. Spiked Chin; Wide fraction, low numerator. The rim break over UN is complete to the right side of N as in Braig State 5.5. Below the fraction, all of the dentils remain visible but this entire area of the die has sunken, leaving a retained cud below 20 as in Braig State 6.0. There is no evidence of the wedge-shaped rim break over the first A of AMERICA seen in State 6.0. Steel-brown color with good eye appeal despite being cleaned and recolored. Only a few light scratches are visible on either side.
