Salzburg. Leopold Anton Eleutherius gold 1/4 Ducat 1740 MS66 NGC, KM330, Fr-851. The last year of series. Elected Archbishop of Salzburg in 1727, Leopold was a staunch catholic perhaps most known for his Edict of Expulsion of Protestants, which led to many of his subjects fleeing to surrounding areas of Prussia and Hanover. Glimmering amber surfaces feature crisp devices, particularly captivating on this small sized denomination. The sole highest graded example at NGC; NGC Top Pop.Metal: Gold
