Description

Crystalline Gold After Quartz from Bendigo, Australia, 1996, A fantastic nugget, of complex coral-like form, with superfine crystalline texture and bright yellow coloring, denoting a high karat content. This nugget was originally combined with quartz, as is often the case, but the latter mineral was entirely removed via an acid bath to leave the exceptionally finely frilled and minutely pitted structure of the gold intact. A remarkably attractive specimen, this nugget measures approximately 3-7/8 x 2-1/8 x 1-7/8 inches and weighs 11.64 Troy oz (356.4g). AGW 11.6400 oz.
