Description

Rare 1845-O Eagle, Unc Details

1845-O $10 --Reverse Rim Damage--NCS. Unc Details. Breen-6869. Repunched 84. The middle two digits in the date are clearly repunched, but the other digits show no evidence of doubling. Brilliant yellow surfaces exhibit minor abrasions over reflective fields and lustrous devices. A few small nicks on the reverse rim are the only imperfections. A review of our Permanent Auction Archives reveals that the last (and only) Mint State example of any 1845-O eagle in one of our auctions over the last 15 years was offered in 1994. The specialist will recognize just how important an offering this is.(Registry values: N2998)
