Description

1843 N-16 Cent, MS63 Brown
Mature Head, Large Letters

1843 1C Mature Head, Large Letters MS63 Brown NGC. N-16, R.4. Our EAC Grade AU58. Die lines above the ERI in AMERICA are bold, but the diagonal line that connects the CE in CENT remains the definitive N-16 diagnostic. A lovely and satiny golden-brown cent with exceptionally unperturbed fields and devices. Uncirculated examples of this scarce variety are undoubtedly rare. As of (11/13), NGC has certified just three pieces in Mint State, one each in the grades MS62 Brown, MS63 Brown (the present lot), and MS64 Brown.
