Philip II (AD 247-249). AE sestertius (18.74 gm). Rome, AD 248. IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip II right / SAECVLARES AVGG, European elk walking left, S C in exergue. RIC 264a. RCV 9283. Attractive smooth dark brown patina. Nearly extremely fine.
