AU Large Planchet Pine Tree Shilling, Noe-10
1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet AU50 NGC. Noe-10, Crosby 1a-C, R.3. 70.7 grains. Retrograde first N in ENGLAND, prominent tree roots. An impressive Large Planchet Pine Tree shilling with a full, bold tree and essentially complete legends, although a small edge flaw at 10:30 affects one letter on each side. Moderately wavy, as made, with substantial luster and lovely sea-green and dove-gray toning. Listed on page 37 of the 2007 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 23, Greysheet# 9)
