Description

Colorful 1859 Seated Dollar, PR64
Sharply Struck

1859 $1 PR64 PCGS. Generous daubs of gold to rose grace each side of this near-Gem 1859 proof, complementing accents of cobalt-blue and jade at the lower reverse. Despite the moderate color, there is considerable contrast between the frosted devices and reflective fields. This sharply struck proof reveals only a couple of small ticks on Liberty's shoulder and cheek that likely determine the grade. Population: 47 in 64, 11 finer (3/13).(Registry values: N2998)
