Description
Pair of Certified "Princess Louisa" Cob Fragments ND (1598-1743) Genuine NGC, Salvaged from the "Princess Louisa" Shipwreck (sunk in 1743 off the Cape Verde Islands). The East Indiaman Princess Louisa was a massive and glorious ship that was both graceful and fast. Its was never meant to go down in the waters of the Cape Verde Islands but unexpected currents and imprecise charts sealed its fate. On April 18th, 1743, the impressive Princess Louisa was overtaken by the treacherous waters and went down off the reef of Isla de Maio. Her alarms rang in time to alert some of the crew and they escaped to safety on the nearby island but no cargo could be saved.
