Original 1846-O Dollar, AU58
1846-O $1 AU58 NGC. The first year that silver dollars were produced at the New Orleans Mint, and one of only four years of O-mint issues in the entire Seated dollar series. Original dove-gray surfaces show uniform wear and abrasions from a brief time in circulation, including a couple of barely noticeable rim bumps. A trace of luster remains in the fields of this scarce example from a low mintage of 59,000 pieces. Census: 28 in 58, 20 finer (8/08).
