Siris. Ca. 525-480 BC. AR 1/8 stater (13mm, 1.22 gm). Satyr crouching right; two pellets flanking / Quadripartite incuse square divided diagonally. SNG ANS 971-973; SNG Copenhagen 190. Well centered on a broad flan. Good Very Fine.

The original attribution of this series to Lete was based on Svoronos's incorrect reading of a late, inscribed issue. More recent studies show that the ethnic is CIRINON (retrograde) for the town of Siris.
