Siris. Ca. 525-480 BC. AR/Æ fourrée stater (20mm, 7.67 gm). Satyr striding right, grasping the arm of a nymph fleeing to right, who looks back at him / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. SNG Copenhagen 187. Rare. Likely struck by the Thracian tribe of the Satrai. Small breaks in silver plating, mostly on reverse, otherwise Very Fine.From the R.G. Collection.
