Nice Choice VG 1796 Quarter, B-2
1796 25C VG10 NGC. B-2, R.3. This is truly a special coin for the grade, as it shows a remarkable lack of surface impairments in the form of adjustment marks or planchet problems, as well as scant evidence of poststrike contact. The planchet is well centered, with full dentilation visible on the obverse and about half of the dentils visible on the reverse. Of course the wear is extensive, as expected for the grade, but aside from a few tiny, inoffensive marks on the reverse there is little to quibble about. Steel-gray surfaces on both sides.
