Sparkling Gem 1849 Open Wreath Gold Dollar
1849 G$1 Open Wreath MS65 PCGS. Large Head. Longacre's faint monogram appears on the angled truncation of the bust. This strongly lustrous and solidly struck example has pleasing butter-yellow color with subtle emerald overtones. The obverse has few marks for the grade, and only a handful of minor flaws in the reverse fields preclude an even finer grade.
