1803 S-244, B-3 Cent, Fine Details
1803 1C Small Date, Small Fraction -- Burnished -- NGC Details. Fine. S-244, B-3, R.4. Our EAC Grade VG10. Breen Die State III, with slight obverse buckling and faint clash marks. The sharpness is a few points finer than our net grade, with dark blue-steel patina and scattered marks that include a small obverse rim bruise at 3 o'clock. Microscopic roughness imparts a matte appearance, described as burnishing by NGC.From The Adam Mervis Large Cent Collection.
