Small 3, Martin 2-E, W-1278
1723 PENNY Rosa Americana Penny MS62 Brown PCGS. Stop after
REX. No stop after 1723. Small 3. Martin 2-E, W-1278, R.2. PCGS has
identified this piece as a halfpenny, although the size indicates
that it is a penny. Deep ivory and steel patina permit traces of
the original yellow color of the bath metal composition to shine
through. An attractive example despite typical light surface
