Description

Alfonso VI Counterstamped 150 Reis ND (1663) VF25 NGC, cf. KM17 (host coin unlisted), LMB-66, Gomes-11.09. Type III crowned "150" countermark (AU Strong), struck on a Portuguese Sebastian Tostao. Fully defined and struck stamp of 150 Reis, likely creating a notable crack to the flan, the only real detractor to this pleasant pewter-gray example.
