Pedro II Counterstamped 500 Reis ND (1688) XF40 NGC, LMB-98, Gomes-44.03 (1663). Type IV crowned "S00" countermark (AU Standard), struck on a Portuguese João IV 400 Reis (Cruzado) from the Porto mint. Deeply toned, with lightly granular surfaces and an overall attractive appearance.From the Vila Rica Collection
