Kuang-hsü gold Proof Pattern Restrike Kuping 2 Mace Year 29 (1903)-Dated PR67 NGC, L&M-1020, cf. Kann-929 (for original silver issue), WS-0003. Plain edge. Restruck from the original Osaka mint dies in Switzerland in the 1970's. An always appreciable "Kuping" series of modern restrikes in gold that generate substantial collector interest despite their age. On offer is a minor denomination, laden with die polish and brilliant golden surfaces, certified at the peak of NGC's census with only two others and sure to entertain the quality-minded collector.
