"7,000 BTC in IronKey's maze, another 7,500 BTC in Newport's haze. Two missing fortunes of the digital age." This oft-cited phrase captures two of Bitcoin's most infamous losses: one involving a hardware wallet with a lost password, the other a hard drive mistakenly discarded in a Welsh landfill. The IronKey remains locked and unrecovered to date, and the Newport hard drive lies buried still-two modern legends of digital-era misfortune.
