Description
1766 1/2 P Pitt Halfpenny VF25 NGC. Betts-519, W-8350, R.3. William Pitt, the Elder, was heralded as "The Great Commoner" during his service as Prime Minister under George III. Pitt was responsible for ending the Stamp Act, a punitive tax on American exports to England. The present token is slightly off center toward 10 o'clock.
