1866 1C MS65 Red and Brown NGC. This Gem Red and Brown example is sharp throughout, struck from lightly clashed dies. The obverse shows small rust lumps on Liberty's portrait, but the fields are satiny. Orange-brown toning appears on each side, forming a woodgrain pattern on the obverse. Golden luster shines through. No distracting abrasions are present.(Registry values: N1793)
