Description

1937 Quarter, Brilliant MS65
FS-101, Doubled Die Obverse
Important for Major Varieties Registry Sets

1937 25C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS65 PCGS. CAC. Heavy die doubling is evident on the motto and date of this important Guide Book variety, which is rare in Mint State. PCGS reports only 17 Uncirculated examples, few of which rival the present Gem in terms of quality and eye appeal. This piece is brilliant and satiny with vibrant mint luster. A loupe is required to see the few microscopic surface grazes that prevent an even finer grade from PCGS. Population: 4 in 65, 2 finer. CAC: 1 in 65, 1 finer (4/19).
From Charlie O's Collection.
