Description

Ferdinand VI gold 2 Escudos 1757 Mo-MM AU53 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM127, Cal-168. A most attractive coin, highly lustrous and sharply detailed, with only slight high-point wear and problem-free surfaces, thus truly outstanding for this scarce or rare three-year type. This and the Caballero de las Yndias specimen (Aureo 4/2009, lot 374 for E3,000) are the finest seen by the cataloguer, the current specimen also being the sole example currently listed in NGC's census. Conditionally very rare and most desirable in this fine preservation.
