Description

Ferdinand VI gold 2 Escudos 1759 Mo-MM AU50 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM127, Cal-170. Variety with the normal digit "9" in the date. Boldly struck and very attractive for the assigned grade, with only slight wear on the higher points and mild handling marks. Another unusually well-presented example of this very scarce type, also rare in this quality. The excessively rare 1758 date of this type (Cal-169) is unconfirmed by the cataloguer, yet should exist.
