Constance. Franz Conrad 1/2 Taler 1761-FH MS65 PCGS, Augsburg mint, KM17, Schön-2, Forster-409. A lesser-seen fractional emission in general, let alone so soundly gem as the specimen seen here. Typically more of a workhorse denomination than the larger full Talers, 1/2 Talers generally come much more prone to extensive circulation wear. Such has hardly affected this specimen, however, which retains mint fresh appearances throughout with just the slightest dappling of tone. A few small adjustments occur of Franz Conrad's bust, though these hardly hinder the eye's natural movement around the flan.
