Doubled Die Obverse

1941 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. Three different doubled die obverses are known for the 1941 Lincoln cent, FS-101 being one of the most prominent with doubled seen on all obverse lettering. This Premium Gem Red example is among the finest of any 1941 doubled die certified at PCGS. The strike is sharp, and the frosty surfaces display rich golden-orange luster. A few tiny pepper specks on the reverse are not immediately obvious. Population: 34 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red, 0 finer. CAC: 13 in 66, 0 finer (5/16).
