Description

1878-CC Morgan Dollar, MS66
Mint-Fresh, First-Year Example

1878-CC $1 MS66 PCGS. VAM-9. The CC mintmark is high and tilted right. Liberty's hair curls and the eagle's breast feathers display complete design detail, while the talons, olive leaves, and fletchings exhibit a bit of trivial softness. This Premium Gem Carson City Morgan from the first year of issue remains fully brilliant and frosty without any marks of note. PCGS reports seven numerically finer submissions (12/22).(Registry values: P4, N2998)
