Description

1882-CC Twenty Dollar, AU58
Vibrant Yellow-Gold Surfaces

1882-CC $20 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-B. International trade claimed most of the 39,140-piece mintage, with numerous 1882-CC twenties returning to the U.S. over the last 50 years or so. As a result, the 1882-CC is a moderately available Carson City double eagle. Three die pairs accomplished the modest production. This sharply struck AU58 example features lustrous and frosty yellow-gold surfaces and has far fewer abrasions than often seen for the issue.(Registry values: N1793)
