Description

1912-D 5C MS65 PCGS Gold Shield. A satiny Gem example of the sole Denver issue in the Liberty nickel series, showing delicate champagne toning with no bothersome abrasions. The usual strike weakness affects the lower wreath, Liberty's temple, and the right-hand stars. Finer 1912-D nickels are elusive.(Registry values: N1793)
