1807/6 S-273 Cent, AU55
Large 7 Over 6
1807/6 1C Pointed 1, S-273, B-3, R.1, AU55 NGC. Clash marks
are noted in the obverse fields of this Choice AU example. This is
the usually encountered 1807 overdate variety with a large 7
punched over the 6. The other variety with a small 7 over the 6 is
an important rarity among Draped Bust large cents. This piece has
satiny mahogany and steel-brown surfaces with hints of tan that is
faded from mint red. Minor lamination is noted from Liberty's
