1881 5C AU53 NGC. Like the 1879 and 1880, the 1881 is very scarce as a business strike, probably due to the heavy legislatively mandated mintage of silver dollars. This is a briefly circulated silver-gray and chestnut-gold nickel with sharp definition and a few tiny marks on the central reverse.(Registry values: N991)
