Description

1883 5C With Cents MS66 PCGS. Gorgeous cartwheel luster graces both sides of this carefully preserved Premium Gem. Wafts of lemon color accent the light-gray patina, and the strike is sharp save for minimal weakness on a couple of stars and left ear of corn. Several pronounced die cracks are present around the perimeter of the obverse, with a particularly noteworthy one through the date. PCGS has awarded a higher numeric grade to a single example (2/14).
