1897 Nickel, MS66+
Just Two Numerically Finer at PCGS

1897 5C MS66+ PCGS. CAC. The reverse margin offers powder-blue, lemon-gold, and tan-brown toning while the obverse is finely grained with a faint almond-gold patina. This is a lustrous and minimally marked high-grade example, with the twin awards of the PCGS Plus designation and CAC endorsement to confirm the high-end Premium Gem quality. Nearly fully struck, although the left ear of corn lacks full kernel detail. Clash marks are apparent beneath Liberty's chin, behind her neck, and near the upper-right portion of the wreath. Population: 33 in 66 (10 in 66+), 2 finer. CAC: 9 in 66, 0 finer (1/20).
