Description

1913 Cent, PR66 Red
Exceptional Color and Surfaces

1913 1C PR66 Red NGC. Those desiring a high-grade Matte Proof Lincoln cent often look to the 1913 issue because of its generous proof mintage of 2,983 pieces. Few examples, however, survive in the highest grades to satisfy the legions of collectors filling type and date sets. This exceptional Premium Gem offers rich tan overtones on the obverse with underlying red-orange luster over the unmarked, textured surfaces. The reverse is equally without flaws, with deeper red accents and lime-green borders. Census: 11 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red, 5 finer (4/15).(Registry values: N1793)
