Description

1882-CC Ten Dollar, AU55
Highly Lustrous Fields

1882-CC $10 AU55 NGC. Variety 2-A. The fields of this Choice AU Carson City eagle are highly lustrous, and only slight friction appears over the relief elements. Despite the light high-point friction, there is no blending of the details. Mild field chatter on each side is consistent with the grade and Carson City issues from this period. Uncirculated examples of the 1882-CC are extremely rare, and this is among the more appealing AU coins that we have seen. Census: 41 in 55, 39 finer (10/17).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2663, PCGS# 8696, Greysheet# 9497)
