1944-S 5C MS67 Full Steps PCGS. According to the Whitman Guide Book for the Jefferson nickel series, only 1 in 100 1944-S nickels has five full steps. The present sea-green and wheat-gold Superb Gem is pristine and lustrous. The reverse is bisected by a bold vertical crack that passes through the center of the San Francisco Mint to create a "dollar sign" variety, ideal for Show and Tell at a coin club meeting.(Registry values: N491)
