tetradrachm (30mm, 16.63 gm, 1h). NGC MS★ 5/5 - 5/5. Ca.
148-90/80 BC. Head of Dionysus right, wreathed with ivy, wearing
mitra (cloth headband) / ΗΡΑΚΛΕΟΥΣ / ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΘΑΣΙΩΝ, Heracles,
nude, standing facing, head left, left arm draped with lion skin,
resting right hand on grounded club; HTPΔ monogram in left inner
field. HGC 6, 359. SNG Copenhagen 1046-1048. Boldly struck from
highly artistic and alto-relievo dies.
