Description

João V gold 6400 Reis (Peça) 1740-B UNC Details (Obverse Scratched) NGC, Bahia mint, KM151, LMB-140, cf. Guimaraes-1740/39-2.2. (No overdate). Large 4 variety. Fourth shield. Showcasing fully-struck motifs upon lustrous satin fields with light marks that little detract from the charming original surfaces. A seemingly non-overdate variety missed by Guimaraes studies and the sole piece graded by either NGC or PCGS.
