Republic Yuan Shih-kai "Plumed Hat" Dollar Year 3 (1914) AU Details (Altered Surfaces) PCGS, Tientsin mint, KM-Y322, L&M-858, Kann-642. Issued to commemorate the Founding of the Republic. Far more attainable quality for this type which rapidly escalates in both rarity and price in firmly Mint State grades, this piece, despite its noted surface irregularities, shows an eye-catching tangerine tone across the obverse and reverse alike and faces up quite nicely in-hand.
