Description

João V gold 4000 Reis 1725-M MS61 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM115, LMB-241, Fr-35. Collectors of Brazilian gold have been waiting with bated breath for a Mint State example of this scarce, pre-portrait issue to appear on market, so the opportunity to acquire this freshly encapsulated specimen will surely elicit much enthusiasm. The adjustment marks do little to obscure the bold strike and pinpoint detail that remains in the devices, including the diadems that adorn the crown. An opportunity to acquire a better example of this type has likely never presented itself at auction and it might be a long time before a comparable coin surfaces.
