1911-D $5 AU55 NGC. From a small mintage of 72,500 pieces, the 1911-D is the second-rarest business-strike Indian half eagle, trailing only the elusive 1909-O. Collectors prize examples in all grades today. This impressive Choice AU specimen shows only light wear on the design elements and the lightly abraded orange-gold surfaces retain traces of original mint luster in selected areas.(Registry values: N1793)
