Yi Hyong 5 Yang Year 501 (1892) MS62 NGC, Incheon mint, KM1114, K&C-15.2. A one-year Crown-size Korean issue that is treasured by collectors in any grade, but Mint State examples are particularly special for enthusiasts of the series. Imbued with classic envelope patination that combines pewter and dove gray tones with mauve and lavender highlights. The patina has dulled the luster slightly but the Mint State bloom is still readily apparent in the form of revolving luminescence upon rotation in-hand. An exciting selection sure to cause a stir on auction day.
