Description

1814 Small Date Dime, MS64
JR-1, Colorfully Patinated

1814 10C Small Date, JR-1, R.3, MS64 PCGS. Ocean-blue and plum-red toning endow this unblemished and undisturbed near-Gem. The claws and stars 6 through 13 lack a full impression, but the remainder of the strike is crisp. An outstanding example worthy of the finest collection. JR-1 is the sole Small Date die marriage, and thus commands its own Guide Book entry. The fields are clashed, as usual for the variety.
