Scarcer Thin Planchet Example
1925 Medal Norse, Thin Planchet, MS66 PCGS. CAC. Although
the 1925 Norse Centennial medals are not an official coinage issue,
they have always been collected with the silver commemorative
series. About 6,000 specimens were struck on thin planchets, making
them more elusive than their Thick Planchet counterparts. This
well-preserved Premium Gem is sharply detailed and lustrous, with
vivid highlights of lavender-gray and greenish-gold toning.
